Remind-Me Conduit for Palm
A conduit for synchronizing Remind-Me's calendar with the Date Book in your Palm PDA is available. This is an optional add-on to Remind-Me. The conduit supports full 2-way mirror image synchronization. The following download includes Remind-Me and the Palm Conduit, bundled together.

After installing the conduit you can synchronize in the normal manner:

Make sure HotSync Manager is running
Place your Palm organizer into the cradle
Push the HotSync button on the cradle
For the first synchronization after installing you may want to customize the way the conduit synchronizes your events. By clicking on the HotSync manager icon in the system task tray (lower right of your desktop):

you can choose "Custom..." from the HotSync popup menu:

Select the "Remind-Me Date Book" conduit and choose the "Change..." button:

(Important Tip:  If your conduit list includes both "Calendar" and "Date Book", turn off the "Calendar" conduit, so that only the Date Book conduit will be used.)

to select the type of synchronization you wish to do:

Synchronize the files
Desktop overwrites handheld
Handheld overwrites desktop
Do nothing

For the first ever synchronization, if you choose "Synchronize the files" all records from both the Palm Date Book and Remind-Me will be duplicated on both platforms. If you choose one of the "overwrite" options all events from the chosen platform will be put into both Remind-Me and the Palm Date Book.

After the first synchronization you will probably want to leave the selection on "Synchronize the files" so that changes on either platform will be updated in both Remind-Me and Palm Date Book.

GENERAL PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:

CALENDAR AND LIST VIEWS:

Remind-Me displays data in a variety of formats, a list, day calendar, week calendar, month calendar, or a year calendar.  The desired format is selected from the View menu, or on the toolbar.  Any single view can be selected at once, or the calendar and list views can be displayed at the same time.  In the list view, the data can be sorted based on information from any column by clicking on the column header with the left mouse button.  Clicking on the same column header again toggles the sort order between ascending and descending.  In the month and calendar views, events are displayed on their appropriate date.  By selecting a day on the calendar with the mouse you can examine the day's events in greater detail.

EVENTS:

Remind-Me is based on events.  Major holiday events are automatically established.  You may also record birthday, anniversary, holiday, or scheduled events.  A scheduled event can be a one-time event or repeated daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly with flexible repeat options.  You can also enter an ending date for repeated scheduled events.  Each event can be fully customized to alert you in a specific way when that event is upcoming.  Options include whether you should be alerted at all, and if so, how far in advance.  You can specify if you would like to be notified when you turn on your computer, and/or at a certain time of day.  You may also choose to have Remind-Me automatically compose an e-mail message.  This e-mail can also be sent automatically, or you can specify that you would like to customize and approve it before sending.  Use mail merge to automatically customize the emails.  If you wish to customize your e-mail message with a recorded audio clip, Remind-Me makes this a breeze by walking you through the recording, and automatically attaching the resulting audio file to your e-mail message.

EVENT ALARMS AND ACKNOWLEDGMENTS:

When the specified time has arrived to display an event's alarm the Alarm dialog will be shown, listing the details of any upcoming events.  Any alarm sounds specified will also be played.  The Alarm dialog contains a list view of the events with due alarms, just like the list view on the main Remind-Me window.  To the left of each event is a check box.  Place a check in this box to "acknowledge" the event.  Acknowledging an event will prevent you from being notified again of the same occurrence of this event.  You will still be notified about any following occurrences of this event.  By not "acknowledging" the event Remind-Me will continue to remind you of the event each day until you do "acknowledge" it.

SYNCHRONIZING WITH YOUR SMARTPHONE / GOOGLE:

With the optional Google sync add-on installed you can keep your Remind-Me calendar synchronized with your smartphone and your Google calendar.  For more on this feature, and to obtain a copy of the Google sync add-on, visit the Google Sync Add-On page.

SYNCHRONIZING WITH OUTLOOK:

Sticky Notes

The Sticky Notes application allows you to create electronic sticky notes directly on your Windows desktop. The Sticky Notes are just like paper post-it notes for your computer. Jot down tasks, messages, ideas, appointments, phone numbers, birthdays in a note and stick it on the desktop.
A note can be positioned anywhere you wish, or hidden in your task bar, then searched and displayed later. Notes can be resized.


The note's contents can be formatted to include fonts, colors, transparency and hyperlinks. Once on screen, notes will remain where placed until closed, even through reboots.
Sticky Notes application is small and simple and all notes are kept in the text file. It does not use the registry.

IMPORTANT: Do not use the Sticky Notes to store any sensitive information, it is not secure.

How to install and start using Sticky Notes
Sticky Notes doesn't require any installation procedure or additional files. Just unzip 3 files that you've just downloaded to any folder of your choice. If you install over the previous version back up your notes (through the Options dialog) before as a precaution.
Click on the StickyNotes.exe. Sticky Notes icon will appear in the Windows System Tray (bottom corner to the right of the Windows taskbar).
To start up Sticky Notes every time Windows boots up, add Sticky Notes to your Start-up group. To do this click the button "Create a shortcut in the start-up group" in the Options dialog.
To open a new sticky note, double click on the Sticky Notes icon in the system tray/notification area.
To access the application menu, right click on the Sticky Notes tray icon.
To access the note menu, click on the down arrow in the upper left hand corner.
By default, Sticky Notes will stay on top of other windows as indicated by the pin. To toggle that setting, click on the pin once.
To close a sticky note, click on the small red power button in the upper right hand corner.
Sticky Note saves all your sticky notes in a file, so don’t worry if you closed a sticky note accidentally, you can always retrieve a note using the Search window.
